Gigi Vranian painting in her home studio.
Gigi Vranian, a native Virginian, was raised one of five children in Winchester, Va., a picturesque town in the Shenandoah Valley. She went into the nursing profession in 1972 and is still practicing as a nurse in the Richmond, Va. area. Throughout her childhood and into her busy life as wife, mother, and nurse, she continued her passion for art.
She currently resides in Midlothian, Va. She is active in and serves on the Program Committee of the James River Art League, Richmond, Va. and is a member of the Virginia Watercolor Society. As a water-colorist, she features land and waterscapes, feathered and furry friends and architectural interests.
Gigi's experience comes from her heart and from many years of art classes in oil, acrylic and watercolor painting. She enjoys touching life in a most personal way and transferring that appreciation of the fluidity of life to color and paper. It has truly been a journey of the "values" of painting.
